Main Job Functions:
The primary function of this role is to support the Oral Health Clinic in an administrative capacity, with occasional requests for assistance with clinical tasks such as sterilization and dental unit water line maintenance.
Job Duties:
Duties vary based on the Department's needs and will be assigned under the discretion and direction of the Supervisor. Those duties include, but are not limited to: answering the Oral Health Clinic phone, contacting patients about appointments, responding to clinic voicemails, updating Ascend Academic scheduling calendar when necessary, assisting Clinic Coordinator with sterilization, laundry, restocking clinic supplies, and other miscellaneous office duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in and taking DEH classes in the Dental Hygiene degree program.
