Main Job Functions:
As a digital navigator, you will be a key piece of the CMC Steamboat Campus Library's work helping our CMC community learn and apply digital skills that will benefit them in their academic and career endeavors, fostering equitable access and outcomes.
Job Duties:
Guide, navigate and/or provide quality 1-1 technology support to a diverse community to meet their technology needs; develop the attitude, interpersonal, and technological skills required to embrace the challenge of teaching basic technological concepts related to internet services, computer and device characteristics, and common online services and applications.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
The technical and interpersonal skills and abilities required to successfully guide novice computer users and explain/teach the basics of a computer operating system, software applications, cloud computing, email, Internet searching, and CMC's technical and application infrastructure.
