Main Job Functions:

Under the supervision of the Preschool Director and Childcare Lead Coordinator, the Early Childhood Teaching Assistant is responsible for supporting teachers, assisting with children's needs, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.

Job Duties:

Assists with the implementation of daily plans and activities. Assists in maintaining program site, physical environment in the classroom, and changing needs of children. Assists with daily childcare supervision. Assists with daily snack preparation. Applies positive behavior management tools Ensures children are kept away from risks by promoting safety and hygiene at the center Promotes diversity at the center by showing respect to children and parents of different cultural backgrounds, recognizing the fact that children are reared differently by different parents. Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with children preferred. Must meet all licensing requirements through the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (incumbent must know and abide by all Early Childhood Education licensing rules). Clearance from a criminal history background check and central registry of child protection required. Position requires a responsible, kind, and dedicated individual to provide quality, care, and enrichment activities for children aged 2 1/2 - 6. Exhibit exceptional verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism. Organize and prioritize work, while exercising flexibility, teamwork, and humor.
