Main Job Functions:

Main functions of the library aide position are to provide support services for the CMC Leadville Library. This position performs general clerical duties and customer service for our patrons.

Job Duties:

Assisting users in library procedures; providing basic reference services; staffing circulation desk; and various other duties as assigned by the supervisor on duty. Specific clerical duties may include: check/in out library inventory, LMP book distribution and returns; basic tech assistance with computers, printers, and software.

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

Prerequisites for the position: ability to read, write and communicate int he English language. Ability to use technology including computer and printer. Applicants must be committed to serving patrons having diverse backgrounds. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational abilities encouraged.
