Main Job Functions:
- Creates and updates signage for desks, doors, displays, and public spaces in the Library. - Coordinates and captures photo and video content of events, programs, services, collections, resources, and community impact for internal library use and library-managed channels. - Assists with accessibility best practices, including writing alt-text for graphics. - Assists patrons in using library equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and printers; performs library circulation duties; performs outreach to student body regarding library services and programs serving as a library ambassador; assists in maintaining the appearance of the library, keeping it neat, clean and orderly; performs related work as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to serve a diverse college community with courtesy and professionalism. - Experience providing excellent customer service is preferred. - Basic graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
