Main Job Functions:
This Library Assistant workstudy position is a part of the customer service-focused CMC Steamboat Campus Library team. With training, this role interacts with our patrons and library systems to serve our CMC community with compassion, effectiveness, and a great sense of humor.
Job Duties:
Assists patrons in using other library equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and printers; performs library circulation duties; performs outreach to student body regarding library services and programs serving as a library ambassador of sorts; assists in maintaining the appearance of the library, keeping it neat, clean and orderly; performs related work as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.
