Main Job Functions:
The Nursing Department at Steamboat Springs is looking for 2 work-study students to assist with the set-up of Nursing Simulations and skill sessions, organization of Nursing Simulation and Lab space.
Job Duties:
Simulation and Lab Organization - Aid in setting up and cleaning equipment before and after skills labs and simulations. Stocking and re-stocking SIM Lab spaces. Assisting with mannequin and room set up. Organizing simulation and laboratory storage and assisting with inventory management of the SIM Lab. May be asked to provide technical support as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Eligibility is limited to students who are not currently enrolled in the prelicensure BSN Nursing program at CMC. Ideal candidates will have strong computer and technology skills, excellent organization and attention to detail, general office experience (ie. filing data entry), and strong communication skills.
