Main Job Functions:
The Work-Study student provides administrative and operational support to the Oral Health Dental Hygiene Clinic. Responsibilities include assisting with front office duties, instrument sterilization and processing, stocking clinical supplies, laundering clinic linens, maintaining an organized and clean clinic environment, and performing other support tasks as assigned. The student is expected to maintain patient confidentiality, follow infection control and safety protocols, demonstrate professionalism, and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Program and in good academic standing.
