Main Job Functions:
To support Leadville Campus students as a writing, reading, and research peer tutor / mentor.
Job Duties:
One-on-one tutoring / mentoring. Attending and participating in events hosted by The CWiL. Classroom visits. Weekly staff meetings. Training
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of English Composition I and II or equivalent experience (writing samples may be required). Proficiency with college-level writing, reading, and research. Desire, willingness, and ability to work well with any and all students. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Willingness to learn and receive training. Must be currently enrolled as a student at the Leadville Campus.
