Main Job Functions:
Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for first-year students by sustaining access to resources, identifying goals, interests, strengths, and navigating technology.
Job Duties:
Interact with diverse student populations, articulate and understand the needs of individual students, operate office equipment, proficient in computer applications, multi-task, meet deadlines, strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills, commitment to working in a culturally competent environment while collaborating with students, employees, and community members.
Working Conditions:
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:
Be an active, enrolled student of at least 6 credits in good academic standing at CMC with at least 24 earned credits. Possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Knowledge of various standard administrative, business methods, and procedures is preferred. Ability to use the Microsoft Suite and other software.
