Main Job Functions:

The Digital Navigator has a crucial role in assisting our library patrons with basic technology and digital skills. This position will focus on the application of skill and career endeavors, fostering access and outcomes.

Job Duties:

Guide, navigate and/or provide quality 1:1 tech support to a diverse community to meet technology needs Skills required to effectively instruct tech users to use their devices Assist patrons in accessing their LMP Dashboards Guide users through Canvas applications Introduce patrons to digital offerings, including eBooks and databases

Working Conditions:

This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. Minimum Qualifications:

Technical and interpersonal skills and abilities necessary to successfully guide novice computer users, ability to communicate basics of operating systems, software, cloud computing, email, internet searching, and CMC applications and infrastructure.
