Summit County Safe Passages, a collaborative team of government, ski areas, recreation groups, and conservation organizations, advocates for wildlife corridors that balance wildlife needs with the ever-growing population in Summit County. Join us and our friends at Summit County Safe Passages for a special evening of conservation and connection with author and passionate conservationist Ben Goldfarb. A few years ago, Mr. Goldfarb visited our campus to discuss his book Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter. This year he is introducing his new book Crossings: How Road Ecology is Shaping the Future of Our Planet, a fascinating look at the repercussion of the 40 million miles of roadways that encircle the earth. The event will feature a discussion with Ben, who is known for advocating animal protection from road-related dangers, and a screening of Deer 139, a documentary on deer migration.
