CMC Cares – Incident, Safety, Concern and General Reporting

Submit a confidential report to provide assistance, report a concern, or protect public safety at Colorado Mountain College. CARE Reports are reviewed during standard business hours.
Colorado Mountain College uses an online reporting tool know as CMC Cares. This system allows students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public to report issues of concern on a wide range of topics from safety and well-being concerns, academic issues or campus policy violations. Reports are kept private and are automatically routed to the appropriate staff for processing.
CARE Report
Create a CMC Care Report, if you feel staff should be aware of student behavioral issues.
Common reports include:
- Academic alerts
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Family/friend death
- Increased risky behavior
- Peer/romantic relationship issues
- Roommate/housing issues
- Medical issues
Incident/Injury/Security Report
If your are experiencing an EMERGENCY, dial 911.
Report Categories:
Academic Integrity Violation
Includes instances of cheating or plagiarism.
Campus Security Report
For reporting of criminal and suspicious activity, theft, trespassing and security-related maintenance problems including any facilities and landscaping maintenance needs to address hazardous conditions.
Conduct Code Violation
Create an Incident Report when you believe a campus or residence hall policy violation has occurred, criminal or suspicious activity, or an injury to a student or member of the general public.

Injury Report
For reporting injuries to a student or member of the general public occurring on campus or related to a CMC event or activity. Faculty/staff injuries are not reported in CMC Cares. Employee injuries are reported directly to Risk Management in accordance with Workers Compensation procedures.
Residence Life Policy Violation
For residence hall policy violations has occurred, criminal or suspicious activity, or an injury to a student or member of the general public.

Sexual Misconduct/Title IX Report
Sexual Misconduct/Title IX includes:
- Sexual harassment
- Sexual assault
- Relationship violence
- Gender discrimination
- Stalking
This report may be submitted anonymously.

Report fraud, waste, or abuse concerning CMC programs and operations. Reports may be made anonymously and are routed directly to CMC’s General Counsel.
