Leadville, CO is situated at 10,200 feet between the northern Sawatch and Mosquito ranges. As the highest elevation college campus in the country, CMC’s Leadville campus is the ideal location for the Natural Resource Management program.
The NRM program is home to a state-of-the-art analytical lab and industry standard field equipment. Students and instructors practice applied science in the mountain environment.
Forests, streams, and high-alpine meadows are transformed into classrooms. Students utilize the alpine environment make observations, collect data, and test hypotheses. Leadville is a historic mining community with over one hundred and fifty years of active mining. It's a unique learning environment for students to study the long-term effects of natural resource industry firsthand.
