Spanish Immersion and Environmental Science: Buenos Aires, Iguazú Falls, Colonia Uruguay and more

Immerse yourself in the culture and language of Argentina while exploring the region’s natural environments. Our home base will be in Buenos Aires where students will participate in immersive Spanish classes and live with an Argentinian family.

The group will explore the city and it’s diverse neighborhoods. Students will also learn how aspects of everyday life are handled from an environmental perspective by visiting a water treatment plant, a landfill and recycling center. Excursions outside of the city will allow the group to experience Argentinian ranching culture and ecology, explore the delta environment of Tigre and cross the Río de Plata and visit Colonia Uruguay.

The experience will culminate with three days and four nights in Puerto Iguazú for hiking and exploring the subtropical rainforest of Iguazú National Park. This park is UNESCO World Heritage Site.
