Choose from personal enrichment, transfer-level, workforce and career classes, serving the Aspen and Basalt communities

The Aspen campus offers classes in computer labs, “smart rooms,” a science lab, fitness studio, gallery and art studios/labs. It is also home to world-renowned Aspen-Santa Fe Ballet.

This community campus serves traditional and non-traditional students. CMC in Aspen houses a full-time counselor and adjunct and full-time faculty. We also offer a variety of degree and certificate programs. The campus does not provide residential facilities.

Our instructional programs are excellent. Surrounded by unique recreational opportunities such as the Aspen/Snowmass Resort, the Aspen campus is an exceptional place to learn.

“Students in [Bennett Bramson's] business classes are out in the field experiencing ‘the business of business’ and learning hands-on through real-life exploration of what it means to be in business in the local economy. Take a class from Bennett and hang on – it’s a magical ride.”

Sustainability at Colorado Mountain College

image - screen shot of Building Energy Navigator showing energy usage and costs. In 2009, CMC signed onto the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment. The college's current Climate Action Plan and Sustainability Action Plan direct the college to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions by 12.5% every 5 years until carbon neutrality is reached in the year 2050.

Aspen Sustainability

  • The Aspen campus has upgraded to LED lighting in the parking lot and common areas. These upgrades, combined with scheduling efficiencies and existing passive solar, have set the Aspen campus on a clear path to meet the College’s obligation to the President’s climate commitment.
  • Drinking fountains distributed throughout the building are equipped with bottle fill stations, reducing our plastic footprint and encouraging sustainable use of refillable bottles.
  • A class II electric vehicle charging station has been installed on campus.

Track Energy Use and Spending at CMC Buildings

The Building Energy Navigator tracks energy use and energy spending on an hourly, daily, monthly and yearly basis. The site displays data for 19 CMC buildings including our three residence halls.
