HSE/GED Program and Testing Information at Colorado Mountain College
High School Equivalency (HSE) / General Educational Development (GED) test preparation classes and testing are available at CMC. We can help you prepare for the HSE/GED test though our HSE/GED prep program. When you're ready to test, you can test with us too. Please contact the campus nearest you for more information.
Preparing for GED and (HSE) high school equivalency exams
Colorado Mountain College offers two courses to successfully prepare you for exams. HSE/GED courses are non-credit.
GED 910 - Pre-GED Preparation
Presents material for the student who needs review before doing GED preparation. Diagnostic tests determine skill level; help is available in writing skills, reading and math.
GED 911 - GED Preparation
Presents material for students who need to prepare for the GED tests: Language Arts, Writing, Reading, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
Online Classes and Resources
CMC Students and faculty use Canvas for class assignments, schedules, feedback and learning materials. Students can complete assignments, quizzes, projects and communicate directly with their instructors.

Taking your GED exam or other tests
The GED/High School Equivalency Exam
The GED exam consists of four tests (language arts, social studies, science and mathematics). After successfully completing the exam, you will receive a Colorado High School Equivalency Certificate from the State of Colorado Department of Education. Check with your local CMC site to see if the GED in Spanish is given.
All GED tests are given on a computer.
