CMC will help you earn your high school diploma or high school equivalency (GED).  We have a dedicated team of instructors here to help you meet your goals.

Our classes...

  • meet online during a scheduled time
  • provide online study materials
  • offer testing at several locations
  • provide classes and testing in English and Spanish

Students must have access to a computer and the internet to attend the online classes.  If you need access to a computer, let your teacher know.

This year, CMC also offers The Workforce Diploma Pilot Program (WDPP).  It is another pathway to earning your diploma.  For more information about this program, please call 719-486-4207.

Continuing Opportunity Tuition Rate

Students who have continuously resided in the CMC service area for at least 24 months and have successfully completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum or a General Education Diploma (GED) at CMC, as attested by CMC staff, will be charged the current in-state tuition rate for the courses in which they enroll as a degree seeking student.

Qualifying students must be 23 years of age or older and must not be a resident or have domicile in a region outside of the CMC service area.

If you have never taken a CMC class before, please fill out this form and we will get you registered in your class.

Returning Students

Register Online

You can register online for your ESL course in Student Planning (CMC login required) and pay by credit card.

To log in and register, you need your CMC Username and Password. If you do not have your username and password, follow these steps:

  • Get your CMC ID Number. If you do not have your CMC ID Number, contact the Service Desk by phone (970-947-8438) or by e-mail ( Make sure to include your first and last name and the month and day of your birthday in your e-mail.
  • To find your Username, go to the CMC Identity Manager. You will need your Last Name and CMC ID Number.
  • Password:
    • If you are new to Colorado Mountain College or started classes after 2017, your password is mmdd of birth + xx + @cmc
      For example, if your birthday is January 5, your password is: 0105xx@cmc
    • If you took classes before 2017, your password is cmc + mmdd of birth + xx
      For example, if your birthday is January 5, your password is: cmc0105x@cmc

      • Or your password is the last six digits of your Social Security number + @cmc
        For example, 123456@cmc

Make sure to pay for your class by downloading the CMC App or going to CMC Basecamp Student Financials or calling your campus.
