Registering and Paying for Classes
Credit Class Registration Instructions
New Students
Once you have applied and been admitted you will receive an email with your student account and Basecamp login. Basecamp will be home for important announcements, your student email and Student Self Service.
Student Self Service provides access to:
- Student Planning, where you can search for classes, plan your degree and view your academic progress. After you have worked with your campus to complete all necessary steps to be registration ready, you can register for classes.
- Student Finance, where you can view statements and make payments.
- Financial Aid, where you can access financial aid data and Forms.

Basecamp login required.
Registration follows early registration. The specific time period is designated by the academic calendar and is open to all students and for all class types (credit and Continuing Education/non-credit, and CEU).
All methods of registration (online, in-person, or by mail) are available for students to use.
Contact your campus, seek advising and register before your credit class starts!
Current Students
If you have taken a class during the last 12 months at CMC, log in to Basecamp and use Student Planning to search for classes and register online.
If you can’t remember your username and or password please contact the Service Desk.
REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Returning Students
If you have been away for a year (3 or more semesters), you will need to be re-admitted to Colorado Mountain College as required by State Law.
Once you have been re-admitted you can search for classes and register online through Basecamp using your original login. If you can’t remember your username and or password please contact the Service Desk.
Transfer Students
Once you have applied and been admitted you will receive an email with your student account and Basecamp login. Basecamp will be home for important announcements, your student email and Student Self Service.
Student Self Service provides access to:
- Student Planning, where you can search for classes and register online, plan your degree and view your academic progress.
- Student Finance, where you can view statements and make payments.
- Financial Aid, where you can access financial aid data and Forms.

If you haven’t already, get your transcripts from your previous college evaluated for transfer to CMC. Once they have been evaluated, transfer credits will be posted to your student record and available to view on your unofficial transcript in Basecamp.
Just want to take a credit class or two?
Never taken a class at CMC?
You will still need to apply to attend CMC. Once you have been admitted you will receive an email with your student account and Basecamp login. Basecamp will be home for important announcements, your student email and Student Planning where you can search for classes and register online.
Taken a class within the past 12 months?
You can search for classes and register online through Basecamp using your original login. If you can’t remember your username and or password please contact the Service Desk.
Taken a class, but over a year ago?
If you have been away for a year (3 or more semesters), you will need to be re-admitted to Colorado Mountain College as required by State Law.

You can also register for classes by filling out a Registration Form and taking it to any CMC campus.

High School/Underage Students
Earn college credits from CMC while you are attending high school with concurrent enrollment.
For students under 17 not participating in concurrent enrollment please see the CMC Underage Admissions Form and Waiver for more information.
International Students

Veteran Students

Standard Registration Periods
CMC's academic year is three semesters (summer, fall, spring). Standard registration periods pertain to credit courses that start the first week of the semester (standard) and courses that start after the first week (non-standard). See below for more information.
Dropping a Course
If you need to drop a course, it can be completed in Student Planning on Basecamp, or in-person or by mail. The Registration Add/Drop form is required for in-person or by mail methods.
Community Education (non-credit) Registration Instructions
Search, Register and Pay Online...
If you are interested in taking exclusively non-credit classes, you now have the option to search, register and pay online using the instant enrollment process for non-credit Community Education classes.
Or, Register in Person, via Fax or Mail
If you prefer to register with a CMC staff member, we still offer in person, fax or mail options. Fill out and submit the Registration Drop/Add Form with your payment to the campus you plan on attending.
