Apply Now for Scholarships at Colorado Mountain College
Over $1,900,000 in scholarship funds awarded for the 2025-26 academic year!
All CMC students pursuing a degree or certificate are invited to apply for Colorado Mountain College Foundation scholarships.
The application will open January 1, 2026, for scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year (that begins in the fall of 2026).
Current CMC students will be able to access the application any time after January 1.
New applicants - CMC is transitioning to a new and improved application system. Because of the upgrade, new student applicants will be delayed in accessing the scholarship application until March.
The priority deadline to apply is April 1, 2026. The nursing scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2026.
We are no longer awarding scholarships through the online application for the current 2025-26 academic year.

How to Apply for a CMC Foundation Scholarship
The Colorado Mountain College Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to qualified students.
To apply for scholarships at Colorado Mountain College, log into CMC Basecamp and click on the blue “Foundation Scholarships” button in the middle of the page under “Additional Student Resources.”
In the application, there will be some general questions and 4 short essays that are a maximum of 250 words.
Please be sure to:
Complete the FAFSA or CASFA. Though not required to submit your application, we highly recommend all students complete the FAFSA or CASFA to access all funding options. Some need-based scholarships do require the FAFSA or CASFA.
Upload a copy of your most recent transcript as a Word doc or PDF. If you graduated more than 5 years ago, no transcript is required.
- If you are currently in high school or graduated from high school in the last five years, upload a copy of your most recent high school transcript.
- If you transferred to Colorado Mountain College from another college or university, please upload your academic transcript from that institution. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
- If you completed a GED or received a high school diploma through an alternative program, please upload proof of completion along with your scholarship application.
- Current CMC students should upload a CMC transcript, which can be found here CMC transcripts
Ensure that your recommendation has been submitted.
- You must have submitted a recommendation for your application to be reviewed and considered for scholarship funds.
- Provide in your application the name and e-mail address of one reference provider. You must contact the provider to advise them of your request. The request will be dispatched via e-mail upon entry of the provider's information. References providers should be a faculty member, counselor, community member, or employer (NOT a family member or friend). They will be sent 5 multiple-choice questions to answer, as well as a comment section where they can provide additional detail or paste in a letter or recommendation.
- It is recommended that you review your application weekly to confirm that the recommendation has been submitted.
Scholarship recipients must accept their scholarship through the link provided in their email offer and must also provide a thank-you letter addressed to their donor as well as a personal photo. Scholarship funds will not be posted to student accounts until thank you letters and personal photos are submitted with the scholarship application. These letters are an integral part of the scholarship program and will be provided to the donors. You should include the following points in your thank-you note:
- Express your appreciation for the award.
- Explain how the scholarship will assist you.
- Share your educational and career goals
You will be able to access and exit the application, as necessary.
Once the application is submitted, applicants are automatically matched to qualifying scholarships.
