Coming back to school as an adult has some major benefits. If you are at least 25, waited at least one year after high school before entering college, or have a GED, then you are identified as a non-traditional student, which is great! In this orientation, you will learn everything there is to know about coming to college as an adult.

Students - Bring your ACT, SAT, AP, IB and/or Accuplacer test scores. We use placement test scores to determine if you are ready for college-level classes or need to first prepare with CMC’s great transitional education courses and support.

If you do not have test scores, you must take the Accuplacer before SOAR. Rifle offers Accuplacer testing for free every Friday morning from 9 am-12pm.

Minimum Scores

These are minimum scores, below which transitional education courses are required:

Test English Math
ACT 18 Writing, 17 Reading 23
SAT 470 500
