Curious about deer and elk hunting but don't have family or friends to get you started? Learn basic and advanced hunting skills and techniques with instructor Dave Levine, this summer at Colorado Mountain College Glenwood Springs. His classes are open to all skill levels and can be attended both in-person or online via livestream. Introduction to Elk and Deer Hunting Option 1: Saturday, Jun 11, 9 AM - 12 PM Option 2: Thursday, June 23, 6 PM - 9 PM Instructor: Dave Levine Fee: $39 This course is designed to be a safe and inclusive environment for newer hunters to learn more about what’s actually involved in elk and deer hunting in Colorado. A combination of lecture and facilitated group conversations will address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of big game hunting. There is no firearm handling or training in this course. DIY Elk and Deer Hunt Planning Option 1: Thursday, Jul 14, 6 PM - 9 PM Option 2: Saturday,  Jul 30, 9 AM - 12 PM Instructor: Dave Levine Fee: $39 You’ve hunted a little bit and know you really want to do it or have taken a hunter safety course and now you’re ready to plan your DIY Colorado hunt. Join us for a Summer adventure around the world through music, visual and performing arts at CMC Glenwood Center! Our Summer Arts Camp will take kids on a cultural journey through the Andes, Ireland & Scotland and Los Angeles & Hollywood. Our instructors have prepared a variety of fun and educational activities that will allow each child to express themselves while making new friends and staying active. Thursday Happy Hour Hikes

Looking to get out for a couple of hours in the evening, explore some of the great local trails and meet new friends? We will start with an easy hike and progress to something a little bit more challenging each month. There will be a break halfway to enjoy a picnic if you choose to bring one. Please bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes. All levels are encouraged to join! Trails: Wulfsohn Trail, 5/9, 5pm - 8pm We will be hiking Wulfsohn Trail in West Glenwood Springs, off of Midland Ave. This hike is 3.10 miles, rated easy with 400 ft of elevation gain. Babbish Gulch, 6/23, 5pm - 8pm We will be hiking Babbish Gulch in Glenwood Springs up 4 Mile Road adjacent to Sunlight Mountain. This hike is approximately 3.2 miles and rated moderate with 580 feet of elevation gain. Mushroom Rock, 7/21, 5pm - 8pm We will be hiking Mushroom Rock in Carbondale off of Highway 82.
