LIFE AFTER CLOUGH
Zoe lives in Rifle and works at Aspen Valley Law, P.C.
“The Clough Fellowship program allowed me to complete all my prerequisite courses at Colorado Mesa University and prepare myself to eventually embark on my paralegal certification through CMC, in which I am currently enrolled. I was able to make the presidents list last semester and I would have been unable to start the paralegal courses without first having my prerequisites completed prior.
I am a full-time working mom of three children: Everlie (8), Ryatt Rose (2) and Dax (4 months). My husband and I have our hands full, but we always strive to be the best role models for our children. I am currently employed by Aspen Valley Law, P.C. based out of Carbondale, CO and we are primarily focused on family, criminal and civil law. I am the firm's paralegal who assists our two attorneys with day-to-day tasks such as drafting pleadings, in-depth financial analysis, client intake and correspondence, child support calculations and much more.”

LIFE AFTER CLOUGH
Michelle lives in Golden and started a real estate investing business with her husband. Together they run Golden Sky Properties. She also works part-time as a Medical Assistant at Sports Medicine of the Rockies.
“The Clough Fellowship allowed me to finish a 4-year degree with minimal debt. Going to UNC in Greeley enabled me to make many great connections. It’s there that I met my now-husband, and I pursued my dream career in medicine for several years. I then had the confidence in my abilities to take a leap of faith and start a business with him. We work full time together in our business, building our dream lifestyle. We have been in business for 5 years now; we support 3 full-time employees and have been able to help hundreds of homeowners move on to the next chapter of their life.
Through another UNC connection, I now also work part-time at a clinic, helping patients with sustainable pain relief. I continue to embrace the mentality of “whatever you do, be the best at it”, which was a quote from the Clough Fellows presentation in 2012. It’s hard to imagine how my life would have turned out had I not had the opportunities provided by the scholarship.
The Clough fellowship has made a big impact on my life, those that I employ, and those that we help through our business.”
