This scholarship really did help me a lot because I didn’t have to worry about not having money for college at all through my 4 years of nursing school. Because of this support, I was able to achieve my dream of becoming a nurse!”

LIFE AFTER CLOUGH
Midge lives in Colorado Springs and works at the Ent Center for the Arts and the Millibo Art Theater.
“The Clough fellows program has impacted my life in so many ways. With scholarship support, I was able to make it through my first two years of college with no debt. This allowed me to focus on my academics and clubs. I was able to be a part of so many productions with the Sopris Theatre Company, and participate in and lead many clubs on the CMC Spring Valley Campus.
The Clough funding continued to follow and support me when I transferred from CMC to UCCS in Colorado Springs. While I'm not completely debt free, it helped reduce my student loan debt throughout my four years of college.
I am now working at the Ent Center for the Arts as a stage tech. It is an incredible experience to be able to work at the same institution where I studied. I’ve met so many people within Colorado Springs' performing arts community. I’m still learning so much about theater and performance and am currently stage managing my first professional production. Even though I am no longer a student, I'm still learning new things every day.
Aside from academics, the Clough fellows program changed my life permanently. The financial assistance enabled me to pay for braces for my teeth, which I was very self-conscious of. I’m now more confident than ever, and I have never smiled this much in my life.
Without the Clough Fellowship, I'm not sure where I'd be. I’m so honored and grateful to be a recipient of this scholarship!”

“Coming from a single parent household, I simply would not have been able to afford to attend college without the generosity of Mrs. Clough and the Clough Fellows program. I have been lucky enough to graduate with my bachelor’s degree in under four years completely debt free. I am now pursuing a master’s degree to become a Speech Language Pathologist. It’s been my dream since I was a junior in high school so the fact that I’m actually doing it now is surreal! I definitely would not be where I am today without the support of the Clough Fellowship.”
