Student Orientation and Registration in Steamboat Springs

Now that you have made the decision to attend the Steamboat Springs campus, it is time to take the next step and attend Student Orientation and Registration. During SOAR you will learn about academic programs and campus life, meet with an advisor, and register for classes. All incoming student are required to attend an orientation. Parents are encouraged to attend as well. Come to SOAR ready to work and have fun.

It is crucial to your success that you are placed in the classes that are right for you. We focus on academics by assessing your current English, math, reading and writing. Any student who has not placed into college level English, math and reading with ACT or SAT scores or is not transferring-in college course work in English and math, must take the Accuplacer computerized placement assessment. The Accuplacer test will be offered during SOAR.
