Abby Hollenbaugh

Abby is entering her fourth year as a teacher at children’s mini college and has a long-standing relationship with the school. Beginning with her oldest child attending the school in 2008, she participated in mini college activities first as a parent, later as a volunteer, and finally as a teacher. Abby has spent the past four years teaching in the morning and afternoon classes and looks forward our new classroom schedule.
Having seen tremendous, joyful growth in her own children while they attended children’s mini college, Abby is grateful to part of this fabulous school. She loves the play based philosophy and how each child is honored and respected as an individual.
Abby has a background in counseling and a passion for creative education for children. She holds a Master’s in Counseling and Counselor Education from CU, Denver and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Colorado College.
Abby lives in Glenwood Springs with her husband and their two teen-aged children. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her family and pets.
Kim Stacy

I am a Colorado native who loves any activity that gets me into the wilderness. I traveled around the world with my husband before we had children. We have a daughter and a son who are now in their 30’s. Children are the best teachers and they led me to my passion for young children and the importance of a person’s early years.
Education/Experience: Bachelors of Science in Physics/Chemistry from Fort Lewis College, 1982, and hundreds of hours in Child Development and Early Child Education starting in 1995.
I love Children’s Mini College because I love being with young children. They remind me of the best qualities of life.
I deeply respect my fellow teachers and believe in the philosophy that we have chosen to follow. I am grateful to be a part of this high quality preschool.
