Graduation Information

Congratulations!

If you are on this page you are probably finishing up a degree or certificate with Colorado Mountain College! You will need to complete a few more steps before you can enjoy and celebrate your success!

Colorado Mountain College does not automatically enter your completed degree or certificate on your transcript or issue a diploma. You must submit a petition to graduate in order for Colorado Mountain College to record your completed degree.

You must successfully complete all course requirements for your program in order to graduate. Course requirements for each degree and certificate program are outlined in the CMC Catalog. The catalog from the time you began your program is used to establish graduation requirements.

You can check ‘Your Progress’ in Student Planning in Basecamp to make sure you are on track to graduate. It details your catalog year, your cumulative GPA and shows where you are in completing your General Ed. Requirements, program specific requirements and electives.

Please review the following checklist to ensure you are on track to graduate

Discuss your intent to graduate with your college counselor/advisor. They are best placed to check your record and determine your time-frame for graduation and meeting any outstanding requirements.

WHEN TO SUBMIT PETITION

You can submit a Petition to Graduate once you have 15 credits or less remaining of your Associate or Bachelor degree and you plan to complete your degree in the following semester. If you are pursuing a certificate, please check with your advisor to determine your time frame for completion.
