Deadline: Ongoing until all funds are awarded.

Eligibility requirements: Must be an ECE declared major at CMC attending classes between Fall 2023 and Summer 2024. This scholarship is automatically awarded to students that meet eligibility requirements until all funds are awarded.

The purpose of this scholarship is to support the Early Childhood (EC) workforce in meeting industry qualifications with the goal of improving current EC workforce shortages. The priority of these funds is to help expand the ECE Educator workforce in Colorado and to encourage retention of those educators through professional development.

Scholars must be admitted to CMC, have an ECE declared major at CMC, be willing to obtain a PDIS username (see your professor for assistance), and intend to work in the Early Childhood industry.

Scholarships may be used to reimburse eligible students for classes taken at CMC Fall 2023 or to pay for classes students intend to take Spring 2024 or Summer 2024 semesters, that are required for their ECE declared major.

Prioritization of awards are as follows: Bilingual and students from historically marginalized communities will be prioritized for all funds. This scholarship is not based on financial aid need. If you haven’t done so already, contact your campus advisor to declare an ECE major with CMC.

Scholarship award notifications will be emailed to students.
