Welcome to CMC’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

CMC offers English classes for levels from beginning to English for Academic Purposes. Classes include practice in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.  Classes are open to all adults, ages 17 and older. ESL classes do not offer college credit. After successfully completing the course, you receive a certificate of completion that shows the number of hours of the course.

Yes - Apply First

If you have never taken a CMC class before or have not taken a CMC class within the last year fill out the application. Note: this application does not mean you are registered for a class. Then go to your campus to register and pay.

Beginning to Advanced Class Schedule

Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels are for students just starting to learn English to students that can have extended conversations. For students that are more advanced see our Intensive classes below.

In-person Classes

You need to be able to go to the campus to attend these classes.
All classes are $60/semester, except Leadville Computer*, which is $30/semester.

Online Classes

Online classes meet on WebEx or Zoom meet at a set day and time. All times are Colorado times.

Intensive ESL Class Schedule

Intensive ESL is for students that are advanced in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

In-person Classes

You need to be able to go to the campus to attend these classes.
All classes are $114/semester.
