Personal Interests
All the wonders that living in Western Colorado brings. I run daily in the woods with my dogs, hike, ski, throw snowballs, and read. I serve as a track coach for adults in Special Olympics, I am active in the local soup kitchen, The Extended Table. I volunteer with the Glenwood Tri, and am a teacher and lector at my church. I love numbers and teaching math, but more than that, I abundantly enjoy working with students and watching them grow in their understanding of math. Math can be scary for some people, I work at trying to make it less scary. “Getting math” can be life changing, and I think we can “get it” with enough time and practice; even those story problem! We laugh a lot in class, sometimes at each other, but mostly at the silliness of life.
