Hospitality Management Graduates

Our hospitality graduates work in Europe, the Caribbean, California, the Colorado Rockies, and all travel and tourism destinations in between. They work in golf resorts, beach properties, ski and snowboarding resorts, hotels and a variety of restaurants. Some use their knowledge in support businesses such as conference planning, event management and reservations software. Many of them move quickly into management positions using the combination of classroom and on-the-job training at some of Steamboat Springs' finest resort properties.

Career Jump Start

“The Resort Management program was an excellent jump start to my career and gave me an excellent technical background.”

Darcy Trask transferred to the University of Colorado where she graduated magna cum laude. She works as director of a nonprofit organization, the Craig Moffat Economic Development Partnership, and teaches as an adjunct professor for the Hospitality Management program.

Landing a Great Job

“When I can walk into a great job while receiving quality education and having enormous fun at the same time - that is living! Choosing to study Resort Management at Colorado Mountain College is the best thing I have ever done for myself.”

Cho Tin Tun received a bachelor's degree in Business and Technology (eCommerce) from Regis University in 2008. Currently, she operates her own technology and business company, Steamboat eBusiness, and teaches for CMC Steamboat Springs and Distance Learning program. After graduating from CMC, she worked as a manager for several hotels and resorts and with the Steamboat Springs school district as a District Secretary.

Principles That Work

“Colorado Mountain College gave me the tools that helped me get into an entry-level position and then quickly advance in the resort and hospitality industry. When working with guests, I still go back to some of those principles and the things I learned at Colorado Mountain College.”
