How does it work?
Starting in Fall 2023, students who enroll in one of the following training programs will have help covering educational expenses such as: tuition, fees, course materials, and other costs while funding is available:
- AA Early Childhood Ed Emphasis (STAA-DWD)
- AA Elem Teacher Ed Emphasis (STAA-DWD)
- AAS Early Childhood Education
- AAS Fire Science Technology
- AAS Multi-Occupational Trades
- AAS Nursing
- COP Basic Welding & Cutting
- COP Carpentry Advanced
- COP Carpentry Basic
- COP Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy
- COP Driver Operator (Fire Science)
- COP Early Childhood Ed - Assistant Teacher
- COP Early Childhood Ed - Director
- COP Early Childhood Ed - Teacher
- COP Elementary Education Alternative Certification
- COP Fire Academy I
- COP Fire Academy II
- COP Heating and Air Cond.
- COP HVAC Advanced
- COP HVAC Basic
- COP Nurse Aide
- COP Pipe Welding
- COP Secondary Education Alternative Certification
- COP Welding Design & Fabrication
Students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) and Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) application, if eligible.
Good Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is required.

Awarding and Registration Schedule
Register for classes by midnight July 17 to be considered for the first round of funds to be awarded on July 18 (before the Fall 2024 payment deadline).
Register for classes by midnight September 1 to be considered for the final round of funds.
- Students must meet all eligibility criteria to be considered for an award.
- If you can't cover your entire CMC student account balance by July 22, the fall payment deadline, set up a payment plan.
