Board of Trustees Announces Next President
Dr. Carrie Besnette Hauser to Start in December
At a special meeting on Nov. 1, of the CMC Board of Trustees, I am pleased to say that we approved a contract to hire Dr. Carrie Besnette Hauser as the next president of Colorado Mountain College.
We anticipate that her start date with the college will be December 2. I know that she is looking forward with enthusiasm to joining the college and getting to know our students, employees and communities.
Dr. Hauser’s demonstrated leadership experience, great energy and strategic vision will greatly benefit Colorado Mountain College. In making the decision to offer the position to Dr. Hauser, the trustees understood our affirmative obligation to students, staff, faculty and supporters alike. We are excited about her potential to fulfill the college’s vast promise of becoming the premier community college in the country.
I would like to thank everyone who has participated in the search and interview process, and to everyone who provided thoughtful input to help guide our decision. I would also like to thank Dr. Chick Dassance, who has steered the ship through these challenging months of transition.
