What does a Pharmacy Technician do?
Under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, pharmacy technicians may:

Program Overview
This program combines the flexibility of online learning with the essential hands-on experience required for success in the field. Students will be required to complete a clinical externship to gain hands-on, real-world experience.
On-Site Clinical Requirement
To ensure students gain practical, real-world experience, this program includes a 90 clinical contact hour externship, completed in person at an approved pharmacy site closest to your home residence:
- 45 hours in an inpatient (hospital) pharmacy
- 45 hours in an outpatient (retail or clinic) pharmacy
