Colorado Mountain College sets you up to begin a wilderness career or move on to a higher degree
The Colorado Mountain College Associate of Arts: Outdoor Education degree lets you determine your future. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to enter the outdoor job market or transfer to a four-year institution for additional study.
Graduates are prepared to enter the outdoor, adventure and recreation fields including:
- Guiding
- Retail sales
- Resort recreation
- Military or community outdoor recreation
- Technician positions with federal agencies such as the Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management.
Colorado Mountain College Outdoor Education degree graduates often transfer to four-year institutions to pursue a bachelor's or graduate degree in outdoor education, adventure and recreation, teacher and school counselor certification, and anthropology, philosophy and environmental sciences. Graduates have gone on to attend Colorado universities, and out-of-state institutions such as the University of New Hampshire, Alaska Pacific University, the University of Washington and Western Washington University.
